Atlanta police look for help solving 1-year-old homicide case

ATLANTA — Exactly one year after a man was found dead in his car on Peachtree Place, Atlanta police and the victim’s family are asking for help.

They are trying to find someone who may know or have seen the person responsible for the man’s death.

Police said sometime before 11 p.m. on Oct 31, 2020, they were called out to 75 Peachtree Place in northwest Atlanta on a reported shooting call.

Officers said they found an unidentified man shot to death in the passenger seat of a vehicle. They believe the man may have been followed to the location by someone in a red vehicle that may have been responsible for the victims death.

Investigators said they do not have a physical description of a potential suspect in the red car, but they believe the vehicle and the person in it may have been responsible for the shooting.

They are hoping someone recognizes the red car (pictured in story) and have some information that could help police find the person driving it. They are asking people to contact the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477). If the tip helps lead to an arrest and indictment, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
