ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that happened near Piedmont Park.
Police said someone was shot in the 400 block of 10th Street NE around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers told Channel 2 Action News that it does not appear that the shooting happened in the park itself.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the suspects shot at the victim before fleeing the scene in a silver SUV,” police said in an email to Channel 2 Action News.

Investigators said the victim was alert, conscious and breathing when they took him to the hospital.
Police continue to search for the suspects.
