ATLANTA — Firefighters removed a man from an escalator Monday morning after his arm became stuck, Atlanta Fire Rescue officials said.

Just before 7 a.m., officials responded to the MARTA Arts Center station where they found a man whose arm was trapped in the escalator.
The man was removed and taken to Grady hospital where he received additional medical attention.

As for the escalator, the company, Schindler and MARTA Police and Safety are on site and say the escalator is barricaded for now.
The extent of the man’s injuries is unclear, but Channel 2 Action News is working to confirm his condition and learn how his arm became stuck.
