ATLANTA,None — Channel 2 Action News has learned that a 21-year-old Atlanta Police officer found dead in an apartment complex parking lot Friday night died of an apparent suicide.
Clayton County police officials, who made the announcement Saturday afternoon, said police responded to a call about a person down at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Chase Ridge Apartments. Detectives said someone walking by spotted the officer's body in a parking lot.
The cause of the man's death is still unclear.
