Atlanta Hawks reopen practice facility for individual workouts

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The Atlanta Hawks reopened their practice facility in DeKalb County Monday morning for individual workouts.

The team did not say which players have decided to participate in the workouts.

The NBA previously announced that teams would be allowed to reopen their facilities starting May 8 if their state lifted stay-at-home restrictions.

The league set aside these restrictions for teams if they wish to reopen, according to a press release last month.

  • No more than four players would be permitted at a facility at any one time.
  • No head or assistant coaches could participate.
  • Group activity remains prohibited, including practices or scrimmages.
  • Players remain prohibited from using non-team facilities such as public health clubs, fitness centers, or gyms.
