Anheuser-Busch sends 50K cans of water to Albany

Anheuser-Busch emergency drinking water

ALBANY, Ga. — Anheuser-Busch has sent 50,000 cans of emergency canned drinking water to storm-stricken Albany, Georgia.

More than 1,000 homes suffered damage from strong storms that moved through the city last week.

The water arrived Monday to be distributed in the community.

It has been shipped from Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville Brewery where beer production is periodically paused throughout the year to enable the emergency canned drinking water to be produced, so as to be ready to send to American communities in times of disaster.

In 2016, Anheuser-Busch donated and shipped well over 1 million cans of water to support communities hit by disasters including the California bushfires, the Louisiana floods and Hurricane Matthew.
