LOS ANGELES — There was a lot of fun surprises Sunday night on ‘American Idol.’
Willie Spence, from Coffee County, Georgia, survived live voting and is still competing to become this season’s American Idol.

The 21-year-old wowed the judges with this version of the ‘Lion King’s’ ‘Circle of Life.’ They even gave him a standing ovation.
“Willie you just have the magic, buddy,” Luke Bryant said.

“You have that voice,” said Lionel Richie. “You could sing the phone book and literally make it yours.”
Three people were eliminated Sunday night, so we’re getting closer to crowning the winner later this month. The next time we hear Willie sing, it will be on Mother’s Day on Sunday.
