ATLANTA — People across Georgia were treated to another flyover Friday morning. This time, it was the Georgia Air National Guard’s 165th Airlift Wing that participated.
The Commander of the Georgia Air National Guard posted on Facebook that its aircraft would flyover several areas across the state.
The 165th Airlift Wing flew over Ellijay, Gordon County, south over Atlanta to Phoebe Putney Medical Center in Albany, Waycross, Brunswick and areas around Savannah.

The air show is to thank medical workers on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19. We’ve seen other flyovers in Georgia in the last couple weeks.
The Thunderbirds and Blue Angels soared across the skies in metro Atlanta on May 2.
And just Thursday, a C-130 Hercules aircraft from Dobbins Air Reserve Base flew around to honor health care workers.
