EAST POINT, Ga. — Atlanta Fire Rescue hazmat crews responded to reports of a suspicious substance at the administrative office at the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
According to AFRD and East Point police, three people were exposed to the unknown substance at 3800 Camp Creek Parkway.
Three U.S. Bureau of Prisons mailroom employees opened white legal size envelope sent from Colorado to their office.
The envelope contained a white powder substance.
The employees were isolated while hazmat crews figured out the substance was not harmful.
Eighty people were initially impacted by the scare.
Authorities say another package from the same sender was sent to another location.
That package was picked up enroute and the substance inside was found to be aspirin.
