Georgia State Patrol officials said Geovanna Juarez, 33, of Gainesville, was driving a Mazda with four children inside including a teenager. A Chevy van driven by James Cripps, 41, T-boned the Mazda. Investigators say it is unclear if Juarez fully stopped at the intersection.
The Mazda spun and flew off the shoulder. State Patrol says the van crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an oncoming Hyundai driven by Ashley Sosebee, 26.
The road was shut down for hours and has since been reopened.
The uncle of the children involved in the crash said a 16-year-old girl has a severe concussion, an 8-year-old girl is in critical condition with a broken pelvic bone and a 5-year-old girl has severe brain trauma. He said Juarez has a broken back and ribs.
Troopers are still investigating the crash and have not announced any charges.

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Juarez family has set up a Go Fund Me page to help pay for medical costs.
