PALMETTO, Ga. — Police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News they are investigating a fatal shooting in Palmetto.
Palmetto Police Chief John Cooper said police got a call that shots had been fired during a fight along Carlton Road.
Investigators later found the body of young man in his late teens or early 20s a couple of blocks away from the reported scene.
A neighbor told Channel 2 Action News they heard the gunshots and then saw several men running down the road.
Cooper has released little information about the incident and says they are still working the case.
