IKEA Mattresses Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

ATLANTA — IKEA has announced a voluntary recall of some of its mattresses because they fail to meet the federal mandatory open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard to consumers, said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Consumers should stop using the mattresses immediately.

The recall involves IKEA Sultan Heidal spring mattresses sold in sizes twin, full, queen and king.

Mattresses included in this recall are date stamped 0725 through 1014 (YYWW).

The mattresses were sold at IKEA stores nationwide from June 2007 through April 2010 and retailed between $500 and $1,000.
