MADISON, Ga. -- Ty Pennington and the rest of the cast and crew from the popular ABC television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition are in Madison this week, about an hour east of Atlanta.
The show is building a new home for Anaiah Rucker and her family. Anaiah was seriously injured earlier this year saving her younger sister, Camry, by pushing her out of the way of an oncoming truck.
While Camry avoided the truck, Anaiah was struck. The fourth-grader had massive, life-threatening injuries. Doctors had to amputate her left leg. Bus driver Loretta Berryman is credited with saving Anaiah's life. Berryman performed CPR on her following the accident.

This week, the show, with the help of thousands of volunteers, will build a new home for the Rucker family as they adjust to their new life.
If you're interested in helping with the build, click here, or check out their Facebook page here. They still had a need for skilled craftsmen at last check on Wednesday.
The show team knocked on the Ruckers' door on Sunday to inform them they had been chosen. The family was sent to Walt Disney World while Pennington, designers Paige Hemmis, Michael Moloney and Xzibit and local builders Pilot Homes and Smart Properties, as well as community volunteers, worked to build the new home.
Normally, the show demolishes the old home and builds a new one in its place. For this show in Madison, a new lot was donated for the cause, but all the work is still being done in seven days. The new home reveal is slated for Saturday at 3 p.m.
In honor of Berryman, the Red Cross will be holding Citizen CPR classes at 10 a.m., 11 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Anyone interested may sign up at the volunteer tent in the Beacon Heights shopping center. The class is a hands-on course that teaches volunteers the basics of CPR.
On Friday night, Drivin N Cryin will headline a benefit concert for the trust established for the Rucker family. The band will take the stage at 7 p.m. to raise funds for the Anaiah Rucker Building Fund and Special Needs Trust. The concert is at Town Park on West Jefferson Street in Madison.
