CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga.,None — A Clayton County Magistrate Judge denied bond for a man after police said an unsecured load from his work truck hit and killed a woman.
Leonard Kleckley, 55, faces a second-degree vehicular homicide charge, a misdemeanor.
The victim, Cynthia Cameron, 57, was walking on busy Tara Boulevard along the side of the road when she was hit on Monday.
Police said a metal pole was extended from the cargo bed of the truck and hit her.
Jairus Williams told Channel 2's Tom Jones that he witnessed the incident.
"I was actually looking at the lady," said Williams. "The force was so forceful it knocked her shoes off," he said.

Police said the blow left Cameron with severe spinal injuries and she later died.
Detectives then charged Kleckley, a fence installer. His boss told Jones that he was en route to a job when the accident happened.
Judge Betrice Scott read Kleckley the charges he faces and then read the criminal warrant.
"The accused failed to properly secure a load of square metal posts that extended approximately 25 inches beyond the right side edge of his truck's cargo bed," Scott read from the warrant.
Scott asked Kleckely if he had any questions.
"Yes, was it correct you said it was no bond set?" Kleckley asked.
Scott responded: "Yes sir. You're currently on probation, so I'm not allowed to set a bond at this time."
Kleckley works for D.J's Services and the owner of the company showed up in court to support him.
"I feel bad for the lady. I feel bad for Leonard," Denton Messick said.
Messick wanted to let people know that Kleckley is a hard worker who would never intentionally hurt anyone.
"He's probably the best employee I have. It's a tragic accident," he said.
Williams said he'd see Cameron walking everyday and knew she faced danger walking along Tara Boulevard.
"I'd say a prayer for her in my head. I say, 'God, help her wherever she is going,'" Williams said.
