CHINA — A giant Lego figure was destroyed by a young child just an hour after the exhibit opened in China.
The nearly human-sized model of Nick, from the movie "Zootopia," took three days to build, according to its artist, Mr. Zhao.
The child, about 4 or 5 years old, accidentally pushed over the figure, and pictures show thousands of tiny pieces scattered around the floor.
The Lego Nick was worth more than 100,000 yuan, which is over $15,000, according to a Beijing Youth Daily reporter.
Mr. Zhao accepted the parents' apology for their son, without asking for compensation.
"The child did not intend to break it," he insisted.
