ATLANTA — An Atlanta surgical assistant has won a captivating prize from the Georgia Lottery. Edward Sons, 33, won a $12,500 prize from being selected as a grand prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Reloaded Second Chance Promotion.
Sons won his prize recently in Atlanta.
As a monthly cash prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Reloaded Second Chance Promotion, Sons had an opportunity to spin a wheel to win cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $1 million.
The lucky winner is pumped up over winning such a prize.
“It’s awesome! It’s the largest prize I’ve won,” said Sons, who heard about the lottery’s promotion while listening to the radio.
He entered the second chance promotion with Powerball and Mega Millions tickets he’d purchased online.
“I love it. It’s so simple and easy,” Sons said.
With his winnings, Sons anticipates “having some fun” traveling, and he intends to pay off bills.
