Meet Freddie Freeman, get an autograph from Ronald Acuna Jr. and hit home runs with some of your favorite Braves players this weekend at the team’s annual Chop Fest Weekend.
The weekend of festivities kicks off Friday night with the Chop Fest Gala. Attendees will arrive via a red-carpet entrance, and the event will feature music, art, live and silent auction items, an open bar, food and once-in-a-lifetime experiences with the members of the 2020 Atlanta Braves. Jermaine Dupri will perform. The gala benefits the Atlanta Braves Foundation. Tickets are $200.
Saturday’s events include autograph sessions, photo opportunities, baseball clinics, interactive exhibits and more. The former SunTrust Park hosts all of the day’s events. Entry to Chop Fest is free. The autograph sessions are the only thing that require a fee.
“Chop Fest Weekend is an incredible time for our fans to celebrate and interact with our team,” said Derek Schiller, Braves president and CEO. “We look forward to this weekend every year as a way to engage our fans before spring training begins.”
Saturday’s events will start with a opening rally with the players and coaches at 9:50 a.m. There will be a coaching clinic on fielding at 10:30 a.m. and a kids-only press conference at 1 p.m. where the kids get to question the players. At 3:30 p.m., kids will team up with some of the players for a whiffle ball home run derby.
