Get autographs, selfies with Atlanta Braves greats this weekend

ATLANTA — Meet Chipper Jones, get an autograph from Andruw Jones and take a selfie with Jeff Francoeur this weekend at Truist Park. It’s all part of the Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend.

The Atlanta Braves announced the schedule of events for its annual event, which welcomes Braves legends to Truist Park for a weekend full of activities. The event will be held Friday through Sunday, May 21-23, as the Braves face the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Friday, May 21 (7:20 p.m. first pitch)

6:15 p.m. – Braves Legends Parade through The Battery Atlanta

Before entering Truist Park, Braves alumni will parade through The Battery Atlanta, where fans can line up along Battery Avenue to see the legends. The parade will begin outside the new Aloft Hotel near the intersection of Relay Drive and Battery Avenue.  It will travel down Battery Avenue and conclude by the Third Base Gate. This event is free and a game ticket is not required.

7 p.m. – Alumni Weekend Roll Call Introductions

Braves legends be introduced individually as they parade around the Truist Park warning track. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m.

Saturday, May 22 (4:10 p.m. first pitch)

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Alumni Autographs

The legends will be available for autographs throughout Truist Park prior to the game against the Pirates. A map of the autograph stations can be found in the Gameday playbill handed out to fans as they enter the Truist Park gates.  Fans can check the MLB.com Ballpark App for details on which legends will be at each station. Player locations will be posted on the day of the game.  Alumni will sign specially designed Alumni Weekend photographs. No personal items permitted. Autographs are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.  One autographed item, per person, per alumnus.  No photos will be allowed. This event is free and a game ticket is required.

2:15 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Alumni Selfie Stations

Following the autograph sessions, Braves alumni will be available for socially-distanced, fan photos in Monument Garden. Photos are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed. One photo per group.  No autographs will be allowed.  Alumni roster and locations are subject to change without notice. This event is free and a game ticket is required.

2:15 p.m. – Alumni Q&A Panel Discussion

Braves alumni Andruw Jones, Ryan Klesko, Denny Neagle, and Leo Mazzone will take to the Georgia Power Pavilion stage located in The Battery Atlanta Plaza for a special discussion on their playing days and experiences with the Atlanta Braves. Moderated by Greg McMichael. Space is limited.  First-come, first-served.  No autographs will be allowed. This event is free and a game ticket is not required.

2:30 p.m. – Youth Baseball Clinic

Young Braves fans can learn from Braves alumni Marquis Grissom and Chris Hammond during a baseball clinic featuring tips on hitting and pitching. The clinic will take place at the Hope & Will’s Sandlot Batting Cage. The conversation will be geared towards a younger audience. Space is limited.  First-come, first-served.  No autographs will be allowed. This event is free and a game ticket is required.

3:15 p.m. – Los Bravos Q&A Panel Discussion

Join Braves alumni Rafael Furcal, Eddie Perez, and Alejandro Pena for a Spanish-speaking Q&A located in the Hank Aaron Terrace.  The discussion will be moderated by Danny Cantu. First-come, first-served.  No autographs will be allowed. This event is free and a game ticket is required.

3:45 p.m. – 150 Years of Braves Alumni Pregame Presentation The Braves will celebrate their storied history and 150th anniversary with a special pre-game video presentation looking back on some of the biggest icons in franchise history.
