Forget the pub crawl, upcoming Chocolate Crawl features cookies, fudge, pie

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Pub crawls have been around for years. Groups meet at one bar and make their way to several bars in the area, enjoying an adult beverage at each spot.

But the city of Dahlonega has some great news for people who love the concept but love chocolate even more. The city plans to host a chocolate crawl March 1-8.

The inaugural event features nine local shops and restaurants that will offer free samples and specials for purchase. The crawl will include hot chocolate, homemade fudge, cookies, chocolate teas, pies and more tasty treats.

Participants include Paul Thomas Chocolates, Kilwins and The Fudge Factory, Shenanigans Irish Pub, Bourbon Street Grille, Connie’s Ice Cream, Gypsy Teas, The Spice & Tea Exchange of Dahlonega and The Picnic Cafe & Dessertery.

Chocolate covered bacon from Paul Thomas Chocolates is just one of the chocolate items to enjoy on the crawl.

There’s no fee to participate, and chocolate lovers can take the tour at their leisure and remain socially distanced making their way from shop to shop.
