Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers diagnosed among women today. Join the Spirit Foundation when they raise funds for screenings for under-served women at the Spirit Foundation 5K Walk for Hope. The walk happens Saturday January 26, 2013 at Atlantic Station at 9am.

The Spirit Foundation is a 501 c3 non-profit organization in Atlanta, GA. This organization focuses on providing human papilloma-virus infection and cervical cancer education and screening across the US and on an international level. Under Dr. Lisa Flowers, the Spirit Foundation conducted the First Annual Cervical Cancer Walk “A Walk for Hope,” in 2009. She orchestrated the Cervical Cancer Celebration of Life Ceremony which drew over 300 community members to learn about cervical cancer from representatives from the American Cancer Society, CDC and Emory University.
