ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia will add a 5-star quarterback to its fold in 2021 after the highly regarded Brock Vandagriff announced his commitment to the school on social media Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior from Prince Avenue Christian had committed to Oklahoma but changed his mind earlier this month. He now plans to head to Athens, about 15 miles from his home in Bogard.

In announcing his decision, Vandagriff wrote: “I’m staying home.”

Vandagriff is ranked as the nation’s No. 1 pro-style passer and the No. 9 overall prospect for that cycle on the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the third member of the 2021 class for Georgia. He plans to enroll at Georgia in January 2021.

“I trust the coaches there and I trust them in the direction they are going and I want to be able to compete for national championships,” Vandagriff told DawgNation of his decision to sign with Georgia.

The decision came about three weeks after Vandagriff de-committed and after he visited Georgia each of the past two weekends.
