ATHENS, Ga. — Just a few days after being rushed to the hospital after a dirt-bike crash, University of Georgia safety Richard LeCounte III was released from the hospital according to his head coach.
Channel 2 Sports Director Zach Klein, who was on the SEC Coaches Teleconference call Wednesday, says Kirby Smart talked about LeCounte’s recovery on the call.
“He was released and he came over and was in the training room yesterday and was able to get some different treatment and some rehab,” Smart said.

He’s not expected to be available for Georgia as they head into their annual rivalry game with the University of Florida in Jacksonville Nov. 7th.
The winner of the game is expected to be in the drivers seat for the SEC East title and a possible rematch with the University of Alabama who beat the Bulldogs 41-24 in early October.
LeCounte’s status for the rest of the season is still in doubt.
