WSB-AM News/Talk 750 Now On FM Dial

ATLANTA,None — WSB Radio has been on the AM dial for 88 years, but Monday they took a historic leap to the FM dial as well. News/Talk 750 started a historic simulcast on 95.5 WSB-FM at noon and will broadcast on that station 24 hours a day. The move means listeners will be able to find Atlanta's Morning News with Scott Slade, Neal Boortz and Clark Howard on the FM dial.

95.5/The Beat has delivered R & B and hip hop music to Atlanta listeners for 11 years. The stations new music only format will now be available on HD radio and the station's website.

"We evaluated the marketplace and made some difficult choices with regard to finding the best way to run our business operations while still meeting the needs of our listening audience and our valued advertisers. While The BEAT's format was popular on the radio, we had to look for ways to running all of our businesses more efficiently and leveraging our most valuable asset in this highly competitive environment," said Cox Radio Market Manager Dan Kearney on the station's website.

Members of The Beat staff were being considered for other opportunities within the company.

WSB-AM, WSB-FM, Cox Radio, WSB-TV/Channel 2 and wsbtv.com are all members of the Cox Media Group.
