Woman Charged In Boyfriend's Stabbing Death

Tiquonda Campbell

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga.,None — A woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death.

The stabbing happened at a home on Ashley Lakes Drive in Gwinnett County on Sunday.

Gwinnett police said they were called to a Doraville home on Beechwood Avenue, where they found 32-year-old Tyress Malcome. Malcome told officers that his girlfriend, Tiquonda Campbell, had stabbed him in Norcross, Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said.

Malcome was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, Ritter said. He said Malcome and Campbell were arguing at the Ashley Lakes Drive home before the stabbing.

"It's alleged that during the argument, Ms. Campbell retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Mr. Malcome," Ritter said in a news release.

After the stabbing, a friend drove Malcome to the Doraville home to report the attack, Ritter said. Campbell was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing.
