Pamela Denise Burnley, 55, of Wylie, was arrested Thursday by the Fort Worth Police Department in connection with the death of Latora King, 35, on May 17, KXAS reported. Burnley, who goes by the nickname “Jag Booty,” was charged with murder.

According to an arrest affidavit, King met Burnley in a Home Depot parking lot on May 11 and then went with her to a nearby home to administer the injection, The Dallas Morning News reported. King paid $1,000 for the procedure and complained of a fever shortly after, according to the affidavit.

After being taken to a hospital by her family, King died six days later, the newspaper reported.

According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, King died from a silicone pulmonary embolism. The official collected samples of the injection substance while performing the autopsy, KDFW reported. The examiner ruled King’s death a homicide when tests confirmed the samples were silicone, the television station reported.

Burnley did not have a license to practice medicine in Texas, according to the state medical board’s website.

Illegal cosmetic silicone injections may be cheaper than surgical options for buttock augmentation, but they also can be dangerous, the Morning News reported. They are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the newspaper reported.

According to online jail records, Burnley was released from the Tarrant County Jail on Friday morning, KXAS reported. No bail information was listed.

Burnley’s attorney, Henry Campbell of Dallas, declined comment on Friday, the television station reported.
