According to WLKY and WAVE, the artist, whose real name is Percy Robert Miller, announced the donation over the weekend after the toddler, Trinity Randolph, and her 21-year-old father, Brandon Waddles, were fatally shot in a Kahlert Avenue home Friday afternoon.
In a statement, Miller said he and area activist Christopher 2X have worked to raise awareness about the effects of gun violence on children and families for more than a decade, WLKY reported.
"I will always do my part in Louisville and across the country to keep sounding the alarm bell on this problem," the statement read, according to the news station. "The question becomes how 'loud' will we be for Trinity and other kids who are unfortunately in harm's way of constant gunfire. Please do your part to 'Let the Kids Grow.'"
As of early Monday, a GoFundMe campaign for the family had raised more than $7,500.
