LILBURN, Ga.,None — Police in Gwinnett County are investigating a brazen bank robbery that happened Friday morning.
Police: Man Pulls Gun On Bank Teller In Robbery
It happened at the Wells Fargo bank on Killian Hill Road at Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn.
Investigators told Channel 2s Kerry Kavanaugh one man with a gun walked into the bank shortly around 10:30 a.m., jumped the counter and demanded money from the teller.
After getting the money, authorities said the man hopped into a Chevy Impala, being driven by another man, and fled the scene. Police said the man got away with an unknown amount of money.
Right now, police continue to look for the robbers and the getaway car.
Investigators describe the car as a 2000 to 2005 burgundy Impala with a Tennessee license plate. They said the car will also have damage to the right rear bumper of the car.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Gwinnett County police at 770-513-5100.
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information that may lead to an arrest in this case.
