FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Forsyth County arrested and charged a 20-year-old man in connection with the death of a motorcyclist.
Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Diego Castaneda, of Canton, and charged him with one count of homicide by vehicle in the second degree.
Police said Castaneda was the driver of a Chevrolet Yukon that turned into the path of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle Monday evening on Pirkle Ferry Road.
The motorcyclist, 60-year-old Roger Lee Adams, of Cumming, was killed when he slammed into the driver's-side door of the SUV.
Adams suffered extensive head injuries and was taken by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital where he later died, police said.
Castaneda was booked into the Forsyth County Adult Detention Center on Tuesday and later posted a $2,200 bond, police said.
He is scheduled to appear in state court on Nov. 5.
