CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A large tree fell blocking traffic on a narrow, winding road in Cherokee County.

It brought down a utility pole and lines. Officials blocked drivers with emergency vehicles and cones on Reinhardt College Parkway at Sardis Circle late Thursday night.

The tree remains perched diagonally across the road, lodged on power lines and other trees. Emergency crews have kept drivers at a distance until it can be removed.
