2 arrested in stabbing death of pizza delivery woman

CEDARTOWN, Ga. — After an all-night manhunt, police have made two arrests in the stabbing death of a pizza delivery woman.

Cedartown police said two officers were conducting a traffic stop on Thompson Street around 9 p.m. Thursday when they heard a woman screaming.

The officers ran in the direction of the screams and found a woman with multiple stab wounds and other trauma to her body at 229 Thompson Street, police said.

K-9 tracking dogs were called in, but eventually the track of the assailants went cold, police said. Police issued warrants on murder charges for 18-year-old Cadedra Cook and an unidentified 15-year-old. Around noon the next day, police tracked down the suspects and arrested them after a brief foot chase.

The victim, Elizabeth Hucheson, 27, was pronounced dead at Polk Medical Center.

Police said the confirmed with the local Dominos where the victim worked that the pizza had been ordered to the home. Officers said they believe Hucheson was set up for the attack.
