• 2 families trapped in apartment fire

    ROSWELL, Ga.,None - Two families were rescued from a fire at their Roswell apartment complex on Thursday.

    The fire happened at the Raintree Apartments off Holcomb Bridge Road Thursday morning.

    Channel 2 Action News reporter Mike Petchenik saw firefighters rescuing several people from the building.

    A father and two children were rescued from the third floor of the building as well as an elderly couple who were trapped across the hall.

    The elderly woman was taken away in an ambulance, but everyone escaped the fire alive.

    Red Cross volunteers told Channel 2 Action News that the fire affected 9 units in the 10-unit building. The families are being provided with food and overnight lodging.
