• Police release dashcam video of 130 mph car chase, crash

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - Police have released video of a high-speed car chase that ended in a crash in Douglas County.

Police told Channel 2 Action News three people robbed an AT&T store on Thornton Road Thursday. Police said they then began to pursue the suspects on Interstate 20., which reached speeds of 130 mph.

The dashcam video showed a patrol car executing a pit maneuver on the getaway car, causing the suspect's car to lose control and crash. The suspects were then seen running out of the car.

They were all captured a short time later off Tyson Road. Officers said they found cell phones, cash and duffel bags inside the getaway car.

The three suspects appeared in court via video conference Friday.
