JONESBORO, Ga. — Police shut down part of Tara Boulevard for hours Thursday during a standoff call at a hotel.
Channel 2's Audrey Washington saw dozens of police officers near the Econo Lodge on Tara Boulevard at Upper Riverdale Road.
Police say they received a call about a man threatening to kill himself inside a room at the hotel. They tried to reach him by phone, but it kept hanging up.
When officers went inside the room, the man was not found.
