Parents upset about overcrowded APS buses

ATLANTA — Parents are complaining about Atlanta Public School buses being over crowded to the point where students have to stand in the aisle.

One APS student says there are not enough seats on the bus for everyone so some kids are forced into the aisle.

Jakie Morris sent Channel 2 Action News a photo of overcrowding on her 16-year-old daughter's school bus headed to Maynard Jackson High School.

Morris says she confronted the transportation officials with concerns about student safety, but nothing changes.

A teacher from Maynard Jackson High School told Channel 2's Rikki Klaus she counted at least 10 kids standing at a time on the bus.

APS says they will analyze this specific bus route to see what changes need to be made.
