CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Video of a fight at a school in Clayton County shows an eighth grade girl ducking for cover as another student beat her.
The mother of the girl ducking for cover says she's had enough and wants the student who posted video of the incident on social media held accountable, along with the kids taking part.
Jasmine Landers, 13, told Channel 2's Tom Jones while one of her classmates pummeled her in a locker room at Jonesboro Middle School six other girls watched and took pleasure in it.
Lander's aunt, Yvonne Bowden, wants a policy change that punishes anyone who records school fights and anyone who posts it on social media.
"They need to get the same punishment as the one that did the fighting, because in actuality, you're all a part of it, " Bowden said.
Clayton County Schools representative Jada Dawkins said the involvement of everyone surrounding the fight is under investigation.
Dawkins also said the school system can't penalize students who post videos away from school.
The family is also not happy the attacker is back on campus days after the attack.
Landers said what was even worse than that was hearing students joke about her being beaten on video.
"I just wanted the video to be deleted," Landers said.
