Mom asks for answers 4 years after son's death

ATLANTA — Tammy Parrish remembers every detail about the night she got called to Grady Memorial Hospital, where doctors said her oldest son, Domain Taylor, died from a gunshot wound.

That was in 2011, and now Parrish is looking for answers about what happened to him. She says it is still hard being on the Old National Highway in South Fulton County.

Taylor, who went by the nickname "Dino", was leaving a friends house nearby that night.

Police said someone shot at the car and hit him. Taylor's friends were driving him to the hospital when their car crashed into another car.

"They said that it was three masked men that jumped out of this vehicle, and began shooting at the car," Parrish said.

According to witnesses, the shooters were in a blue Chevrolet Malibu, and one of the shooters may have been a woman.

In 2013, police arrested Derek Brown, a man who was in the car with Taylor, and charged him with involuntary manslaughter.

The District Attorney's office has yet to charge Brown. Prosecutors said they are still investigating the case.

"Somebody knows something, and today Im just I'm begging," Parrish said.

District Attorney Paul Howard released a statement saying, "We are unsure of the motive for the attack, but believe the shooters may have bragged about their actions or quietly confided in someone they know."

Parrish said she still has nightmares about her son and knows he would want her to move on, but she has to know why this happened.

Parrish is hopeful enough time has passed for someone to give information, even anonymously, about what happened to her son.
