Miss Piggy 'playing the field' after split with Kermit

ATLANTA — For the first time, Miss Piggy is opening open about her split from Kermit the Frog, and she tells ABC News that she's "playing the field."

Last month the now-defunct couple made the bombshell announcement that they were calling quits after four decades.

A short time later, People Magazine broke the news that Kermit had a new love interest named Denise, the head of marketing for ABC.

In an exclusive interview Wednesday morning with "Good Morning America," Miss Piggy said she was the one who broke off the longtime relationship with Kermit.

"Look at me. Would you … throw this away?" she said. "You wouldn't."

Despite the breakup, Kermit will be producing Piggy's new primetime talk show, "Up Late With Miss Piggy," on "The Muppets." Asked whether it was awkward to see the familiar twinkle in his eye at the office, she replied with a slight dig: "That twinkle in his eye is due to fact that he has no eyelids. OK?"
