Man arrested for barbershop shooting found with 3 guns in his car, authorities say

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 27-year-old Lithonia resident was arrested Wednesday in connection with a July barbershop shooting, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said he was found with three guns in his vehicle at the time of his arrest.

Lamar Dionte Jones was taken into custody on an aggravated assault charge by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit in coordination with the U.S. Marshals.

Jones is accused of shooting Renarda De’untay Milner on July 13 at a barbershop on Wellborn Road in Lithonia.

Investigators took Jones into custody without incident at the intersection of Covington Highway and Panola Road in Lithonia.

Authorities have not provided a reason for the shooting.

Jones was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
