Jayden Miller was found with a gunshot wound at the Oak Run apartments on Main Street in Clayton County early Tuesday morning.
Jayden Miller’s sister, Gabbi Hood-Miller, took Channel 2’s Tom Jones to the scene.
“I know my brother passed away in this area right here,” Hood-Miller said.
She says she and her brother were still grieving the death of their mother.
“And now I got to start a new chapter of my life without my little brother,” she told Jones.
Hood-Miller says a friend of her brother’s who was with him that night told her Jayden Miller was shot by a friend. Someone who was trying to impress his girlfriend. She says that has taught her a valuable lesson.
“I’ve been told a lot to be careful who you hang with cause it could be the people you trust the most that do it.”

She says her brother was spending the night with friends at the Oak Run apartments on Main Street.
Hood-Miller says his friend told her Jayden Miller and another friend went outside to play fight. The friend says he heard a shot and found her brother on the ground. The friend with the gun was gone.
But Hood-Miller says police gave them some good news.
“They have called us this morning and told us that they have finally put out a warrant for him...to get arrested,” she said.
She says her brother had so many plans. He planned to go to trade school in North Carolina, where the family is from.
“Now we got to take him to North Carolina to be buried by our mother,” she said.
Clayton County police say this is still an active investigation. They could not confirm if they have warrants for the alleged shooter.
