CONYERS, Ga. — Two Cobb County residents face felony charges following a human trafficking investigation in that ended in Gwinnett County. Tayvion Ringgold, 25 and Kiauni Gilbert, 21, were indicted on three counts each of human trafficking for sexual servitude.

According to Conyers Police, the investigation began March 9 when a Conyers police officer conducting an undercover prostitution operation at a hotel found a juvenile connected to an online commercial sex advertisement. Detectives with the Conyers Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division took over the case and worked alongside the Rockdale County District Attorney’s Office over several months to develop charges.
Law enforcement officers arrested both Ringgold and Gilbert on Aug. 5 at a hotel in Gwinnett County.
As a result of the investigation, Ringgold and Gilbert were indicted on three counts of Human Trafficking for Sexual Servitude.
