GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside a Gwinnett County townhome.
Officers were called to Lawrenceville Highway near Jimmy Carter Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Neighbors said the home had many guests for the recording studio inside, LIVE on Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m.
Police have detained one person for questioning, but no one has been officially arrested and charged.

Investigators told Channel 2’s Courtney Francisco that the victim was visiting the homeowner.
He told police that he came home and found his houseguest dead.
“The homeowner knew that the victim was visiting him and expected him to be in the home, and when he arrived home after working, he located him inside deceased,” said Corporal Angela Carter.
Carter said officers started reviewing neighbors’ surveillance videos. They were searching for any sign of a suspect.
“I actually did search the call history for this area leading up to this incident, and I was unable to locate any calls regarding gunshots, people hearing gunshots,” said Carter.
A dog sniffed the wood line around the back of the complex. It did alert officers to one potential clue. It was an insulated mug with the lid on it.

“Knowing what I know at this point, I think they’re going to be able to solve this pretty quickly,” Corporal Carter said.
Before officers drove off with the man in cuffs, he yelled out to Channel 2 Photojournalist Ebenezer Mends.
“I’m detained. I’m not arrested,” he said.
Police did not confirm Thursday night.
Corporal Carter said she expects to release more information on that in Thursday morning.
Officers assured neighbors that this murder was targeted. That put most people at ease.
“I feel safe for the most part,” said the neighbor who asked to remain anonymous.
She was more concerned about the man killed. She wanted to know who he was and why anyone would hurt.
“I do send my prayers out to that family,” she said.
