Gwinnett County police need help locating a robbery suspect they believe is connected to an international cellphone theft ring.
Police believe the same crew of robbers is behind a July 20 robbery at the T-Mobile on Stone Mountain Highway and a second at a Clayton County T-Mobile 10 days later.
Police said the robbery at the Stone Mountain T-Mobile lasted only three to four minutes. They said they crew sold off some 90 stolen cellphones less than three hours later.
On Tuesday, Gwinnett County investigators showed Channel 2 Action News the surveillance video from July 20.
They say three men waited for an employee here to take the trash out the rear door.
"They saw a window of opportunity to enter the store," Det. Deon Washington told Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh.
Washington said they forced the employee into a storage closet at gunpoint. Then, they loaded garbage bags with high end cellphones and tablets.
Police have arrested one of the three alleged robbers, Anuterio Daniel. He is in the Gwinnett County Jail.
Police are now looking for Andrew Hendricks. They said he has ties to College Park and Morrow.
"There's a middle man who actually facilitates a meet with a gentleman who has means to have large amounts of cash to purchase these phones," Washington said.
Washington said the facilitator uses the name "Big Man." Once he gets hot products like the Samsung Galaxy 3S and Galaxy Tablet, police said, they 're likely shipped and sold overseas.
Police said "Big Man" paid $20,000 cash for the 90 phones stolen in Gwinnett County.
Investigators said he paid $18,000 for about 60 phones stolen from a T-Mobile in Clayton County 10 days later.
Police said the third suspect in the robbery uses the nickname "T."
They said a fourth suspect may have been involved in the Clayton County robbery.
