A popular chain restaurant in Gwinnett County failed a health inspection.

Alexus Blocker had stopped by to get a menu so her aunt could check out the restaurant.
Blocker told Channel’s 2’s Carol Sbarge that she doesn’t think her aunt will eat there after hearing the score.
Violations included an ice machine covered with a moldlike substance, multiple plates and pans covered with food debris, dented cans and some foods were not being held cold enough.
The restaurant got high scores, a 95 and a 92, on two previous inspections.
Sbarge went to the Snellville restaurant to ask about the violations. She was told to contact the corporate headquarters, which is in University Park, Florida.
In a statement, the company said First Watch has a zero tolerance policy for situations like this.
Spokesperson Eleni Kouvatsos wrote, “We immediately discontinued use of the ice machine and worked quickly to remedy each violation at the highest level, including sterilizing and sanitizing all affected areas and surfaces.”
First Watch says it is confident that the reinspection will uphold and surpass the company’s history of exceptional grades.
