GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police confirm they have arrested the driver who hit and killed a Gwinnett County teen.
Investigators say Tami Jackson-Hunter turned herself in to police Thursday.
They say she hit 16-year-old Camaya Harris while backing into a parking spot two weeks ago. Harris died at the scene.
Police have charged Jackson-Hunter with vehicular homicide and other related charges. She appeared in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court on Saturday morning and was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.

“How can you pull into a parking spot and take a life like that? You have to be speeding. That’s the only thing I can think of,” said Vern Wood, Harris’ grandmother.
Harris’ family told Channel 2 Action News that she was the oldest of six siblings and was on her way to her first ROTC inspection. She was wearing her uniform when she was killed.
