ATLANTA — Georgia Tech Athletics say they expect to play Saturday’s football game against Duke as scheduled while also monitoring the forecast from Hurricane Isaias.
The hurricane is on track to make landfall along the Gulf coast Friday night and its remnants will have an impact across metro Atlanta on Saturday and Sunday.

On Thursday, Georgia Tech officials confirmed to Channel 2’s Alison Mastrangelo that the game against Duke is still set for 3:30 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
“Georgia Tech Athletics and Georgia Tech Emergency Management will continue to monitor the weather forecast with the safety of student-athletes and fans as the top priority, and will communicate updates as needed.”
Other football programs are also closely watching Isaias.
As of Thursday afternoon, No. 2 Georgia is still scheduled to play at No. 6 Alabama at 7:30 p.m.
However, Alabama officials announced that there will be no tailgating before 12 p.m. and parking won’t open until after noon.
