ATHENS, GA - The University of Georgia and the National Football Foundation will honor Garrison Hearst with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute during the Bulldogs’ home game against Oklahoma on Sept. 26.
An NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute is a traditional ceremony where a newly elected College Football Hall of Fame inductee returns to their alma mater or former school to be honored in front of their home crowd.
Hearst, who played for Georgia from 1990 to 1992, is a member of the 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class.

The ceremony will take place during the game, which is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The salute is presented by Fidelity Investments.

NFF President and CEO Steve Hatchell said Hearst’s 1992 season remains one of the great individual performances in Georgia history.
“Garrison Hearst was simply electric,” Hatchell said. “Every time he touched the ball, he had the ability to change a game and his remarkable 1992 season remains one of the great individual performances in Georgia history,” Hatchell said.
“We are thrilled to bring him back to Sanford Stadium and give Bulldog fans the opportunity to celebrate him as a member of the 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class,” Hatchell said.
The NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute program began in 1951 and is the first of several activities in the Hall of Fame experience.
