ATLANTA,None — An Emory University shuttle bus caught fire during a trip Saturday afternoon.
There were about 15 people on board, Atlanta police said. They said the group was headed to Sweetwater Creek State Park in Cobb County.
The bus caught fire on Interstate 20 westbound at Interstate 285 northbound. Atlanta firefighters were called to the scene at 1:10 p.m. They said the bus was heavily damaged and may be totaled.
Everyone got off the bus safely, Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee said.
The cause of the fire is unclear.
