Driver facing DUI charges in officer-involved crash

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police said a driver is in Fulton County jail for allegedly hitting an Atlanta officer and leaving the scene.

David Hamblen is facing several charges, including DUI, for the hit-and-run. The crash happened late Friday night on Cheshire Bridge Road in northeast Atlanta.

The officer was not seriously hurt, police said.
