DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Brookhaven police are at a gas leak at Ashford Dunwoody Road and Johnson Ferry Road.
The intersection has been shut down and police are asking all drivers to avoid the area.
Around 2 p.m. crews laying out Google Fiber hit a gas line causing a large leak.
Police say the intersection may be closed down for five hours.
Several businesses in the immediate area of the gas leak closed early.
The Mayor's Town Hall scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Marist has been canceled.
Murphey Candler Little League activities have also been canceled.
