COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The family of a man shot and killed at his Marietta apartment complex last week has increased the reward in hopes it will lead to the arrest of his assailants.
The reward was boosted from $5,000 to $12,000, including $2,000 in Crime Stoppers funds.
"He was not just like a brother; he was like a son. I will not stop, I will not rest until we find out the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth," said Pastor Eusebio Phelps.
Phelps is the older brother of Roland Martin III.

Four masked men confronted Martin at his home in the Crescent Square apartments on Austell Road, and opened fire. He died in the parking lot.
While police have not released a motive for the shooting, the brother has his own theory.
"I believe they came with intentions, probably to rob, and they didn't expect him to respond in the manner that he did, and they panicked and they killed him. There is one person who pulled the trigger. For those other individuals who are not the trigger men, if you come forward we are willing to work with you for leniency," Phelps said.
A resident of the apartment complex told Channel 2's Tom Regan that he heard four gunshots in the apartment below his home.
“I came running outside, and the victim was laying right over in that parking spot, a pistol not too far from his body. He was still alive. People were trying to save him. Neighbors were trying to do what they could and everyone was calling 911," said Kenneth Walker.
On Monday, the pastor led other families on a canvass mission at the apartment complex, speaking to residents in hopes of getting new information.
"My brother is a good man. a loving father, a great husband, a son of God," said brother Zach Milton.
Another brother said the victim gave back to the community and tried to give others encouragement.
"He was always positive. Always turned around negative situations. He didn't deserve it," said the victim's uncle, Deon Milton.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday. The family is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers or Cobb County police.
